Reverend Alvin Estelle was born on May 24, 1956, to Fred Roy and Luverma Estelle in Riesel, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Roy; mother, Luverma Estelle; brother, Artis Estelle; grandson, Christopher Joiner, Jr.; and Gloria’s siblings, Jeanean King (George), Vernon Center Joiner and LeRoy “Bubba” Joiner.
Alvin joined church and started sing at an early age at Sunset Baptist Church in Riesel, Texas. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Marlin, Texas, where he received a football scholarship to Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas.
On June 12, 1976, Alvin married Cheryl Jones and, to their union, two children were born—one son and one daughter.
On July 27, 1987, he married Gloria Estelle and became the father of three more children—one daughter and two sons.
Alvin carried the Estelle Singers legacy for many years and later changed the group’s name to 2nd Generation & 3rd Division. He also a member of the Inter City Choir.
Alvin received his Minister’s license in 2004 under the leadership of his father in the Ministry, Pastor O.C Mack, at Christ Is The Answer Church. He was a faithful member of New Generation Church, Inc.
Alvin leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Gloria Estelle; three daughters, Ieisha Ellis (David), April Joiner and Shamonica Curry (Travone), all of Waco, Texas; three sons, Anthony Estelle (Shauntavia) and Christopher Joiner, Sr., both of Waco, Texas, and La Gerald Joiner of Dallas, Texas; 22 grandchildren; devoted niece, Corretha Jones; great-niece, Neshell Jones; two great-nephews, Demarcus Jones and Jaquin Joiner; another special daughter, Dawon Smith, and son, Sean Anderson; three very devoted and loyal cousins, Connie C. Mack (O.C.), Rev Beverly K. Williams and Co- Pastor Kerrell Felder (Wayne); Gloria’s siblings, Lola Harper (Norma) of Arizona, Rosie Robinson of Marlin, Texas, W.C. Joiner (Gloria) of Mart, Texas, and Ricky Joiner (Helen) of Waco, Texas; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
