Barbara Hall Scott was born April 9, 1954 in Bremond, Texas to the parentage of the late Jesse and Mary Hall.
She received her formal education in Bremond, Texas and is a graduate of Love High School. Following high school, Barbara went on to pursue numerous medical certifications at McLennanCommunity College. Barbara accepted the Lord as her personal savior and united with the TrueVine Baptist Church.
Barbara worked at Texas Department of Criminal Justice, as a Medication Aide for over 15 years until she medically retired.
She married Billy Carl Scott and to this union one son was born,Darrol Wayne Scott.
On Saturday January 2, 2021 our Father in Heaven called Mrs. Barbara Hall Scott to come and rest.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Hall and Jesse Hall Sr. five brothers Jesse (Hawk) Hall Jr., Thomas Hall Sr., Terry Hall, Alton (Mike) Hall, and Gary (Keith) Hall. One sister Doris Nell Hall Armstead.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory: husband Billy Carl Scott of Bremond Texas, son Darrol (Stacy) Scott of Waco Texas. Great neice /daughter Shamira Armstead of Waco Texas. 3 grandkids;Tiffany Scott of Dallas Texas, Demetrius and Darrion Scott of Waco Texas. 3 great grandkids Amarya, Em'Arii, and Ileyah Scott of Waco Texas.Two sisters; Dolly (Bobby) Pride of Calvert Texas, Mary (Glynn) Murphy of Marlin Texas. Two brothers; Floyd (Bobbie) Hall of Bremond Texas, Stephen (Marvell) Hall of Dallas Texas. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and two very special friends, Mary Dews & Roosevelt Fields.
Those who truly knew Barbara knew that she loved spending an abundant amount of time with her grandchildren and her immediate family. She also enjoyed traveling to the casino and playing slot machines. Barbara was not only a grandmother, but she played the role of a mother figure to many. She was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. Barbara often gave encouraging and uplifting lectures to everyone, especially her close friends, nieces, and nephews. She had no trouble sharing her testimonies and spreading the word of the Lord. Her heart was very kind and she exemplified true selflessness. Walking in the way of the Lord was important to Barbara because she knew that one day she would have to leave for her eternal home.
