Colton Ray Copeland, 23, of China Spring passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021.
Visitation will be Friday, May 21st at 5 P.M., the funeral will follow at 6 P.M. at Union Baptist District – 1925 E Loop 340 in Bellmead Texas. In luie of flowers, donations in his name may be made to The Hanger at thehangerwaco.com.
Colton was born June 23, 1997 to Billy Copeland and MaryAnn (Mendoza) Fort in Waco, Texas. Colton was an artist, he loved to draw, sketch and paint. This lead him to tattoos, which he had a couple of. His life plan was to become a tattoo artist. When he was younger he started skateboarding as a hobby. Colton was recently teaching his brother, Jake, how to skateboard. Colton did not get embarassed so he would do crazy and silly things just to make others laugh. He was a kind soul that was always willing to help others when he could. He will be missed.
Colton was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Micheal Ray Copeland, and maternal grandmother, Mariade Jesus Mendoza Dupuis.
Colton is survived by his father and stepmother, Billy and Stephanie Copeland of China Spring, and their children – Jacob, Riley and Calvin, his mother and stepfather, MaryAnn and Jeff Fort of Waco, and their children – Nathaniel and Joseph. His paternal grandmother Shawn Fort of Waco and maternal grandfather Paul Dupuis of Waco. Colton leaves behind two beautiful children, many aunts and uncles along with numerous cousins.
