Dennis Wayne Sims entered eternal rest peacefully April 27, 2023.
Graveside Services will be held May 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. located at the Riesel Cemetery, S. HWY 6, Riesel, TX with Reggie Blake officiating.
Dennis was born February 18, 1952 in Abilene, TX to the late Otis and Naomi Sims. He married the love of his life, Susie Sims, December 9, 1978 and enjoyed 37 years by her side. He also enjoyed his children, grandchildren, hotrod cars, being with his friends and being the life of the party.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis F. and Naomi Sims. Wife, Susie Sims. Brother, Otis C.Sims. And nephew Carl Sims.
He is survived by daughter, Christie Stivers of Longmont, CO. Son and wife, Jody and Calyssa Sims of Riesel. Daughter and husband, Jayme and Clayton Skinner of Riesel. Grandchildren: Jonas, Hannah, Kynlee, Ayden, Tristyn, and Hayes all of Riesel. Numerous Uncles, cousins, sister in law, niece and great nephew.
Pallbearers include: Clayton Skinner, Ayden Sims, Jonas Jablonowski, Jeremy Bolden, Reggie Brooks and Jonathan Williams.
Honorary Pallbearers include: Joe Mayfield, Tristyn Sims, Hayes Skinner, and Paul Brown
