LB Anderson, and Charles Louise Long welcomed their baby boy, on June 02, 1950, in Waco Tx. They named him Edward Donald Anderson.
Edward was a devoted and faithful member of One Fellowship UMC. He worked within the church in various charities. He served on the Men’s Base Ministry and also was a Trustee.
His smile, strong words, and straight forward personality will be missed by all. He adored, and loved his family more than life itself. He was always there for us no matter what was going on, and that’s what you call a true father. No matter what wrong we did he never judged us but guided us in the right direction. He will always hold a special place in our hearts. His smile and his laid back personality will be truly missed.
Edward (Turk) attended The Historical AJ Moore High School where he graduated in 1968. He then went to TSTI where he graduated from their mechanic program. Edward joined the Army National Guard in 1969 where he served 28 years. He worked for Smith Furniture for 35 years as a mechanic. After they closed he joined Sanderson Farm for 9 years until he retired.
Edward married Mattie M Curry and to this union they had two children Jennifer A Harris (James) and Eric Anderson both of Waco TX. He later married Gloria Prez, and to this union they brought 5 children together. Misty P Gipson (Jeff) of Mexia Tx, Celethe Perez, and Darrell Perez both of Waco.
Edward leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Gloria P Anderson, children, nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, brother’s Sunny Anderson (Beatrice) Los Angeles Ca, Gerrold Anderson (Kimbley) of Fort Worth Tx, sister Margert Allen (Donald) of Dallas, Tx, two uncles Garland Long of Waco Tx, Willie Long of Houston Tx, and a host of cousin, relatives, and friends that knew him as “Turk”
