Mr. Howard Majors Sr. was born to Mr. Howard Bailey and Mrs. Mattie B. Majors-Ervin on August 30,1959. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and united with Majors Chapel Church in Golinda, Texas under the leadership of Rev. Johnson. He later joined Rosenthal Baptist Church in Rosenthal,Texas under the leadership of Rev. Hall.
He graduated from Robinson High School. He joined the Air Force after high school and earned his profession on culinary arts. He was a member of American Legion Post 11 of Fairbanks, Alaska for 15 years and was Commander from 2010-2011.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Valarie Allen Newsome-Majors on February 9,2001. He was preceded in death by both parents, three sisters and four brothers.
Howard was known for being a skillful athlete, dedicated choir member, secretary, treasurer, and a profound fisherman. He was heavily involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Future Farmers of America. He was a loving father, brother, uncle , grandfather and great grandfather.
He leaves to cherish his memory; a loving wife Valarie Allen Newsome-Majors; three daughters, Kesha Green, Jessica Majors and Darshae Vinson; three sons, Howard Majors Jr, Quincy Majors and Raishey Green; one son –in-law, Emmanuel Vinson; six sisters, Ms. Mattie Jewel Brawley, Ms. Mary Pearson, Mrs. Shirley Bush, Mrs. Evelyn Mitchell, Mrs. Marsha Greene- Hawkins and Ms. Eunice Bailey; five brothers, Mr. Charlie Williams, Mr. Elijah Williams, Mr. Stanley Bailey, Mr. Howard Greene, and Mr. Vernon Bailey; four sister-in-laws, Mrs. Doris Williams, Mrs. Elise Bailey, Mrs. Jackie Greene and Mrs. Doris Bailey; three brother-in-laws, Mr. James Bush, Mr. Kelvin Mitchell Sr and Mr. Calvin Hawkins. He leaves to cherish his memory; fifteen grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
