James Edward Bledsoe, Sr. was born on September 4, 1943 in Waco, Tx. to the parents of Milton and Ocie (Smith) Bledsoe. He was the fifth child of six siblings. On Friday, March 12, 2021, at the age of 77 James left his earthly home.
During his school years James attended J.N. Jenkins Elementary and G.W. Carver High School in Waco, Tx.
James accepted Christ at an early age and united with Pleasant Olive Baptist church, where he was a member and fellowshipped throughout his life.
On May 23, 1970, James married his life partner Nancy Ross-Bledsoe.
His work experience included many years of working in the nursing care industry. He devoted his working years to Quality Care of Waco for over 20 years. He also worked at Woodland Springs Nursing Home before retiring.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ross-Bledsoe; parents Milton and Ocie Bledsoe; siblings: Wilbert Bledsoe, John “J.C.” Bledsoe, Rosie Ford, Milton “Pap” Bledsoe, Jr., Verdie Montgomery, and Shirley Bledsoe; and grandson, Jeremy Bledsoe.
He leaves to cherish his memory two children: James (Roxanna) Bledsoe, Jr. and Andre (Mary) Rayford; three grandchildren, Jasmine Bledsoe, Amber Robinson, and Daniel Robinson; and a host of family and friends
