Obituary

Larry Donnell Bryant was the first born of Otis Gown III and the late Angail Bryant.  He was loved and adored especially by his maternal grandfather the late Luke Bryant Jr “Papa whom he lived with for several years when he was a baby. 

 He attended school at La Vega ISD where he played favorite sport football.  He had an infectious smile with the deepest dimples you’ve ever seen!  He was a fun loving guy!

He attended Community Baptist Church where he was baptized by the late Rev. B.T. Talbert.  

Larry had four sons with his childhood sweetheart Andrea Harris; Deleon Harris, Jeremi Bryant, Larry Bryant, Jr. and Terrance Bryant (deceased); and one daughter, Larrisha Bryant (mother Courtney Brown),  He cherished and adored all of his children and later grandchildren. 

Larry was the leader of the three pack “Larry, Byron, and Oticia” often taking his big brother role a little more serious than necessary and always telling Oticia she should have been a boy!  They were inseparable growing up in Pecan Acres, Pecan Garden, and on Dunbar Street.  He was a friendly, personable, and always, always, had a huge dimple smile!!

Larry was preceded in death by; his mother, paternal grandparents, Otis and Mary Gowan; maternal grandparents Luke and Lucille Bryant; and his son Terrance Bryant.

Left to cherish his memories; father Otis (Thresa) Gowan III; two sisters Oticia (Craig) Bryant-Childers and Tracy Gowan; two brothers Byron Bryant and Otis Gowan IV all of Waco and also a bonus brother Eric Arthur (Da-K) Brooks.  Four aunts Johnnie Bailey, Ruby Harrison-Rogers, Gladys Graves and Lisa Haney. Seven uncles; Melvin Bradford, Sterling Bryant, LaCurtis Bryant, Mark Bryant, Luke Bryant, Felton Gowan and Rashad Gowan.  His beautiful grandchildren, nieces and nephew, cousins, family and friends.
