LeRoy Jackson, Jr., affectionately known as Boom, was born October 15, 1965 in Waco, Texas to the late Mr. Leroy Jackson and Ms. Beatrice Chappell.
LeRoy attended schools in Waco, Texas. He was a proud University High Trojan and was super super proud to be a resident of South Waco aka “South Side”
LeRoy was employed with Connally ISD, Waco ISD, and Baylor University.
Boom attended church under the leadership of Pastor Jeremiah Payne until Pastor Payne passed. He then later joined under the leadership of his sister-in-law Pastor Annise Payne at Trinity Temple of Deliverance. He was a faithful dedicated member. He gave so much to so many. He was always willing to serve in any capacity needed. Trinity Temple of Deliverance Ministry will definitely miss Bro. LeRoy Jackson.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his father; son, Johntrail Banks; siblings, Charlotte Franklin and Lucille Chappell, and brother-in-law, Charles Franklin.
LeRoy is survived by, his wife, Rita Jackson; four daughters, LaToya Jackson, Tanesha Hilliard, Candis Hilliard, and Brittany Taylor; son, Demarcus Banks; mother, Beatrice Chappell; siblings, Linda (Larry) Bethley, James (Rita) Chappell, Joanna (Ronald) McLennan, Della Hall, Demond Chappell; step-siblings, Roderick Courtney, Edwin Courtney, and Sheila Courtney; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and many friends.
Boom lived a good life, now he will have a good rest!!!
