Letha received her formal education at Peabody High School in Hillsboro, TX and was a 1968 High School graduate. She united in holy matrimony with Charles Washington, who preceded her in death.
She was employed as a Medical Assistant most of her adult life and dedicated a great deal of time caring for her granddaughter; La’Mika Outley aka “Sha Sha Mooka”. Letha was outgoing, blunt, strong-willed, friendly, caring and had a mouth that jarred many people nerves (those that knew her did not take it personal). She touched many lives and made many friends.
Letha leaves to cherish her precious memories: children: Nyla McCullough(Derrick), Washondria Lester, Stephanie Kemp(Joffe), Derrick Lester(Stacie), Annette Washington, Charles Washington Jr. (Michelle), Newman Washington(Debra), KarenPowell(William). Her greatest joy was her (23) grandchildren; (28) great-grandchildren and (1) great-great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.
