Mr. Lewyn Arthur Weaver was born August 14, 1926 to parents Arthur Sutton and Lillian Vivian Weaver in McLennan County. Growing up in Bosqueville, Tx, he worked diligently on the family farm before going to Moore High School where he graduated.
He enlisted in the US Navy. The ship was named USS Lexington. After the Navy, he graduated from Barber College in Washington DC. He made his way back to Texas and married the “love of his life”, Louis Alexander. They affectionately called each other “Dear”. To this union, nine children were born.
He retired as a Counselor at bother V.A. Hospital and Waco Center for Youth.
Mr. Weaver loved reading the Bible, reading inspirational books and spending lots of time studying eschatological studies (final destiny of the soul). He also worked in many departments at Church, including serving as Trustee, Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher, where every Friday he would make copies of the lesson for his students.
He and our mother, Mrs. Louise were Youth Counselors at Bosqueville Baptist Church, currently named Greater BBC. They were faithful in giving their tithes and aided in purchasing the Church van which was used to take the youth on many trips. Mr. Weaver was a true believer in the young people taking trips to explore their minds.
Traveling with his wife and family was always on his mind and he just recently mentioned traveling after the Pandemic to one of his favorite places, The Gulf Coast. He and his wife, once embarked on a three -week Amtrack Train trip in the Northeastern Region of the U.S. It was an adventure.
Mr. Weaver loved to bowl and was on two bowling leagues:TSTC and Lake Air Bowling Lane. He also loved tennis, but his most enjoyed sport was golfing with his many friends and family members.
