Mrs. Margie Marie (Tucker) Henderson was the first born child of Clay Berkley and Georgia (Tucker) Berkley on June 28, 1950, in Lorena (Spring Valley), Texas. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a faithful member of St. Luke A.M.E. Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Leon McCloney. She passed away July 6, 2023.
In 1968, Mrs. Henderson graduated from A.J. Moore High School, where she served as a cheerleader and was a straight “A” student. She attended Paul Quinn College to pursue a degree in teaching and graduated in three years. Mrs. Henderson was a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority. She attended the University of North Texas and completed a Masters degree at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
She taught at Temple High School, Waco High Ninth Grade Center, and Waco High School, University High School, and other secondary schools. Mrs. Henderson dedicated her life to teaching English, typing, and other business classes. She was a positive influence on her students and co-workers throughout her career.

During her college years she met the love of her life. “Dr. Jack E. Henderson,” at the age of 18, married 6 months later, where the union remained for 41 years. The union was blessed with one daughter, the Evangelist Holly Crystal Henderson. Mrs. Henderson was later blessed with two grandsons, Theodore Luke Henderson, and Gabriel Ray John Henderson. She was a dedicated Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, teacher, neighbor, and friend.
Mrs. Henderson enjoyed life pleasures by shopping, traveling, watching Bobby Jones gospel. She loved collecting diamond rings and gold jewelry. She truly lived the life of a queen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clay Berkley and Georgia (Tucker) Berkley, Brother, Ronnie Tucker, Aunt Ruby Mae, Aunt Sue, Uncle Paul Tucker, Great Cousin Arthur Mae Maloy, Cousin Mary, Cousin Clarissa, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are Dr. Jack E. Henderson, and Daughter Evangelist Holly Crystal Henderson (D.S.), Texas. Grandsons Theodore Luke Henderson, and Gabriel Ray John Henderson, Sister Trudia Hamilton, Brother Rickey Berkley, Sister-in-Laws Joyce Tucker and Cynthia Berkley, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
