Obituary
Ricky Vernard Brooks was born November 7, 1957 to the parentage of O. C. Brooks & Elizabeth Cummings Brooks in Waco Texas.
Ricky confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Waco.
He departed this life August 17, 2023 at the Scott & White Hillcrest Baptist Hospital with his family.
Ricky attended Moore High School. He worked side by side with his father in his early years cleaning banks. He loved fishing, barbequing, and hanging with family. After high school he worked for Englander Containers, MM Mars and H & B Packing Company and First Baptist Church, Woodway.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ricky leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife of 42 years Quandalla Brooks, two sons, Daunishie Brooks and Brent Kelly(Angelica), one brother, Charles Brooks(Claudia), four sisters Diane Brady, Linda Darlene Miller(Robert), Charlotte Cummings, and Karen Coleman(Ronnie), sister-in-law's, Laura Carter, Luella Washington, brother-in-laws, Nathaniel Lowe(Jackie), Searcy Washington Jr. (Jewel), Alfonso
