In Loving Mem

Robert Lee Taylor

November 29, 1949 ~ March 4, 2021 (age 71)

Obituary

Robert Lee Taylor was born in Asa, Texas on Nov. 29, 1949, to the parents of Lee Williams and Erma Taylor. As a child, he was raised by his maternal grandparents Robert and Viola Taylor.

He attended school in Downsville, Texas. He worked at Time Manufacturer and also Van Tran Electric for over 20 years.
He confessed his life with Christ at an early age. Robert was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church where S.M. Cleveland was pastor. Later, he became a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Kuykendall was pastor. Robert was currently a member of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church where he was an active member and served as a faithful Usher until his health failed.
Robert was an outgoing person, you could not get him to sit still. He loved his truck and even when his health began to fail, he always talked about purchasing land, building a house, and having lots of animals. We were unsure of who would take care of the animals, but he was convinced he would.

Robert departed this life on March 4, 2021 at his residents.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lee Williams and Erma Taylor Jordan, maternal grandparents Robert and Viola Taylor, brothers, Jessie Griffin Jr., Gary Griffin, and Mark "Steve" Robinson, and grandson Jaqualious Reese.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Devoted loving daughters, Erma Taylor and Tiffany Rumph (Demond); sons, Russell Taylor (Anita), Jason Taylor, and Broderick Taylor. His dearly devoted sister, Patricia Blackwell (Demarcus) who was there with him until his eternal rest. Brothers, John L. Taylor, Kennes R. Taylor, and Donald R. Griffin (Linda). Grandchildren, Corey Taylor, Felicia Taylor, Roushatta Taylor, Angelica Black, Harold "C.J" Crane Jr., Lauryn Taylor, Ah'Zareyah Drakes, Rashad "R.J" Satchell Jr., Bryson Taylor, Skyla Taylor, Madison Taylor, and Titan Taylor. 11 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and an abundance of relatives and friends.
