Ms. Shirley Simmons was born Feburay 7, 1954 in Dallas, Texas, the oldest daughter of Elsie Ervin and Delois Simmons-Ervin. Ms. Simmons accepted christ at early age and was member of Greater Ebnezzer Baptist Church in Waco, Texas.
Ms. Simmons recieved her education from the Waco ISD School. She was Chicken Frying Queen. She loved all her nieces and nephews as if they where her own. She work many of years in housekeeping. She loved to clean if wasn't right she say her favorite quote "What the Hell."
Ms.Simmons was proceded in death by her parents, her father Elsie Ervin , her mother Delois Simmons-Ervin. Her brother Fredick Clyde Simmons, her 3 sister Linda Joyce, Angelia Renea and Shearilyn Rene. One great-niece Dynasty Christine "DyDy."
On May 20, 2021 the Lord called Shirley home to rest after batterling cancer for 2 1/2 years. She was true fighter when I say she fought she fought the battle to the end.
Shirley leaves to cherish in her memory; her brothers Lee (Marion) Ervin Plano, Tx , Aaron Evans of Waco, Tx and Charles (Gloria) Ervin, of Plano, Tx. Three sister Edith Brooks of Waco, Elsie (Kenneth) Ewing Hattiesburg, Mississippi and Merrose Ervin of Irving, Tx. She never had any children of her own but she raised many of her nieces and nephews. She had one God-daughter Terri Patrice Stewart. Three God-grandson Trey, Jj, and Gbaby who she loved all equally. One devoted nephew WyQuan Re'shiod Randolph and 2 devoted nieces Wyconda Ervin-Stewart and Eulasia Lampkin. Host of many nieces and nephews that she raised as her own she loved them all. One devoted cousin Katie Wydermyer. She had one devoted friend Janis Stewart. One special friend Karen Simspon who stood by her till the very end 20 years thank you. She host of many cousins and friends.
