Ms. Tamara Charmayne Sims was born to the union of the (Late) Charles and Mary Sims. Tamara, accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age. She joined Greater Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church under Reverend Melvin Petty. Tamara, later joined Mt. Zion C.M.E under the Leadership of Pastor Ben Reese up until her death.
Tamara attended Kendrick Elementary and was a cheerleader for Southern Panthers. She graduated from University High School. Tamara loved to sing and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Tamara is preceded in death by her Father, Charles Sims; Maternal Grandfather Jack Degrate, Grandmother Viola Miller and Step Grandfather Wilbert Miller; Paternal Grandfather L.S Sims and Grandmother Nevada Sims; Aunts, Darlene Degrate, Jacqueline " Big Momma" Degrate, Sallies Sims and Verdale Sims; Uncles, Louis Sims, H.L. Sims, Emerson Sims and L.S. Sims, Sr.
Ms. Tamara Charmayne Sims departed this life peacefully on February 20, 2021. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted mother Mary Sims and Stepfather Anthony Mathews; sisters, Sabrina Hornsby and Shana Payton both of Waco, TX; nieces, Ambernisha Fullbright, Anquenette Martinez, Angel Hornsby, Jazmin and Janiya Payton; nephews, Jamal Payton and Kyonderick Williams; Aunt, Edna Mae Mason(Ron) of Dallas, TX; Uncles, Luke Renfro and Bobby Degrate of Waco, TX; devoted cousins, LaSondra Degrate, Janice Degrate, Jackie Johnson and La Toyia Gilmore. Special uncle, John Dorsey of Lubbock, TX; and a host of Great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
